Onward!

By trade I'm a CGI modeler. I work a lot with boxes and bottles and other commercial goods, some are more challenging then others, but they all more or less follow a set plan. So I  wanted to try my hand at using the skills I learned from my profession on something a bit more irregular. Hence "Confrontation"

It started with the duck (Which can be found below) I wanted something more challenging to model. But not turn the dial up to 11 just yet. So I found a 3D scan of a rubber duck ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1656982 ) and got to work on cleaning up the model and making everything quads.

Next came the boat. Because all good ducks need a boat.... That could totally be a saying.

Same steps as the duck. Found a 3D scan I liked (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2789121)  and modified it added some little details such as the buoys, buckets, and wood flooring along the base of the boat. I enjoyed this one a little more than the duck as it allowed me to add on to the pre-existing model, and felt more like the scan was a starting point more so than the beginning middle and end.

Next was to make a scene. The initial reaction was to make a confrontational scene, and to be fair I did, and left it that way for some time. But I didn't like the idea of the two of the characters being enemies. So, I changed things and made them friends!
