Hello World

Hello World started much the same way as all the other models on this page, as a test scene for a bigger project. In this case it was to try out motion paths, more specifically motion flow paths. After making my first one I thought it looked a little bland, a grey object moving around on a grey background, so I added some colour. A thing you should know about me is that I’m a sucker for bright bold colours. So naturally my bright red object on a grey background quickly evolved into multiple coloured lights all orbiting a single point. I was making progress. Next I tried to figure out what could be bright, coloured, and help me test out motion paths? Neon signs seemed like the perfect step. But I didn’t want to just make them and have them static, where’s the fun in that? So I had them move and flow around their letter shapes, seemingly appearing and disappearing at random. This I liked, and since the curve paths for each letter are different lengths, it helps add to the random look, which, again, is something I’m a bit of a sucker for!
